How to use

Wash your hands thoroughly before inserting or removing Original Soft-Tampons!

Import:

Remove the tampon from the wrapper.

For easier insertion, we recommend applying a small amount of lubricant (we recommend Original AQUAglide) to the (dry) tampon or moistening it with clean water. Then, wring it out well so that it can absorb as much liquid as possible.

Squatting or sitting on the toilet is the easiest way to insert a tampon.

Place your index finger on one of the flat sides of the tampon, hold it sideways between your thumb and middle finger and squeeze it to make it smaller. With its new heart-shaped design, the Soft-Tampon has a thin edge. The two downward-facing flaps form a groove at the bottom where you can place your finger to push the tampon into the correct position during insertion. With your other hand, spread the labia and, using your index or middle finger, push the tampon into the vagina until it reaches the base of the uterus.

How long can I use it:

Change the tampon (like any tampon) at regular intervals. The duration of use depends on the intensity of your menstrual flow. At the beginning of your period, you may need to change your tampon more often (about every 3 to 5 hours). Towards the end of your period, the duration may be about 5 to a maximum of 8 hours. However, we recommend changing every 4 to 6 hours. The risk of infection is reduced if you change the Original Soft-Tampon after swimming or after sexual intercourse without a condom.

Removal:

The tampon is easily removed using the integrated strap, pulling the handle with the index or middle finger.
If you have difficulty removing a tampon, we recommend squatting down to reduce the depth of the vagina from 9–10 cm to 4–5 cm. With extra pressure, the tampon moves down and becomes easier to access. A vaginal douche can also help, as a soaked tampon slides down and is easier to remove.

And finally:

Soft-Tampons are safe to use with condoms and with an IUD. If an IUD has been recently inserted, consult your doctor before use. If a tampon cannot be removed, you should seek immediate medical attention. Remember to remove the last Original Soft-Tampon at the end of your period! Soft-Tampons are not a method of contraception and do not prevent pregnancy.
