Umberto Giannini products are a love story that will make you fall in love with your hair. Made by the famous hairstylist of stars such as Madonna among many others, he knows that hair should not be styled but have natural movement and volume. A good hairdresser, as he always said, knows this and works the hair in such a way as to achieve naturalness, movement and volume.

In 1990 he won the first prize by confirming that natural movement with volume is always better than stylized hair. To this day it continues to be number 1, creating innovative products with pure ingredients that beautify hair naturally.

Awarded the Youngest British Hairdresser of the Year, TV Presenter and Stylist to many celebrities. Notably, he revolutionized the curly hair market with his partner and co-founder Claire.

A love story

Claire Shread is the co-founder of the brand Umberto Giannini which she founded in 1998 in collaboration with her husband and famous hairdresser Umberto Giannini.

The couple met in the mid-90s when Umberto commissioned Claire, then working as an artist painting murals in large-scale nightclubs, to design his latest salon.

In 1998, the Umberto Giannini product line was launched, with the iconic lipstick-shaped bottle designed by Vogue creative director Robin Derrick.

A few years later the range expanded with the then revolutionary products for curly hair such as the iconic Curl Scrunching Jelly, which continues to be the company's best selling product
and the UK's number one best selling curling product.
